However no-one seems to be able to tell we where that mysterious “Dark button” is located. The dealer says can it should be fixed by a restart of the RT3 car computer by doing a “Dark button”-reset. Common faults on these systems are frozen screens stuck on the boot logo, wrong software update, updating RT3 with the wrong software CD, faulty CD drive, no visible satellites, no radio signal. The most common types of sat nav systems fitted to Peugeot, Citroen, Fiat, Lancia and Maserati are RT3, RT4, RT5 and RT6 made by Magneti Marelli. Somtimes, it might be useful to have the ability to downgrade the RT3 to an earlier version. The ISO image can be burned to a CD using a program such as ImgBurn. I have an ISO image of the Version 5.5d CD which I could email to you if you need it. The whole process can take 10 minutes or more, so don't try and rush it. During the update, the disc may be ejected and reloaded automatically several times so it is important to leave it alone until you are certain the update has been completed. When applying the update, it is important to have your engine running to avoid the RT3 going into economy mode during the update process. It is important not to try and update earlier cars to version 6 software as this can damage the RT3. The 2003 Ulysse uses a CAN & VAN bus system and the latest software available for 2003 cars is Version 5.5d. Does anybody have the old CD software to upload somewhere so that I can get it? Thanks for any answers Note: The stalk push buttons worked fine before the upgrades. Now I'm thinking to downgrade to some older version, like 5.4.0 or 5.4.1. But now I can't reset my trip computer or scroll its functions. I did this, but the two push-buttons on the left and right stalk ceased to work. Then I decided to upgrade the software to switch it to English. I bought an Ulysse 2.2 (2003 plate) with RT3 working fine, but only in.german, since it was a german import.
